Ian Greaves

Founder and Managing Director

Ian began his career as an Environmental Health Officer in Sheffield UK in 1985 and went onto work as an enforcement officer in London.

He formed IGI Limited in 1996 and since that time he and his team of consultants have worked around the world in the field of health & safety, hygiene, and risk management.

The work of IGI covers all international boundaries as they are one of the main consultants to the UK travel industry through their links with ABTA.

Ian has personally helped in the formation of international guidance and codes of practice and is actively involved in furthering improvements to food safety and health & safety, primarily through training and conducting seminars to government departments, trade organisations and suppliers around the globe.

Key areas of interest include illness management, the control of water-borne infection and educational support to organisations and suppliers in the tourist field.
